ΑΠΟ ΕΝΑ MALAKA ΤΙ ΠΕΡΙΜΈΝΕΙΣ ;

5 Οκτ 2010

Malakas !
Malakas to Spare Japan
Malakas should veer safely east of the Japan mainland as a typhoon over the next few days.
Malakas, which began early in the week as a tropical depression near the Northern Mariana Islands, has been a strong tropical storm and now is a typhoon.
As of Friday morning, EDT, Malakas was centered about 580 miles south of Tokyo. Plowing northward at nearly 22 mph, was packing highest sustained winds near 105 mph.
Malakas will gradually turn toward the northeast as an upper-air trough of low pressure kicks out to sea.
On this forecast path, Malakas would track a few hundred miles east of Tokyo and thus would have a minimal impact on the eastern mainland of Japan.
Ultimate destination for Malakas will be the western Aleutian Islands of Alaska and even southern Kamchatka, Russia.
